Education

​In August, 2014, I earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Individual Differences in the College of Education at the University of Houston. My area of specalization is Learning & Performance. Research interests include learning, development, motivation, achievement, performance, & engagement. Dr. Richard Olenchak was my advisor.

I earned a Master of Arts in English at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. My area of emphasis was twentieth century American literature and film. My thesis was titled, "Tree Imagery in Contemporary Fiction by Women: Margaret Atwood’s 'Surfacing,' Toni Morrison’s 'Beloved,' and Louise Erdrich’s 'Tracks'" and was completed under the direction of Dr. Ann-Janine Morey, Associate Vice Provost at James Madison University.
